Review of Easy A (2010) by Philip S — 09 Sep 2012
The film that put Emma Stone on the map. I saw The Amazing Spider-Man first, but... It's a decent high school film. It isn't Shakespeare, despite its literary source material. The ending was the only really disappointing part.
Not very imaginative and makes you wonder, well, why didn't she just do that earlier if that was a viable option? The interesting dynamic with Woodchuck Todd was wasted, I thought. But Emma Stone carries the film with her charm and the snappy dialogue she is given.
And that's enough to get it a thumbs up.
