Review of Easter Parade (1948) by Sanford R — 01 Nov 2009
*** (out of four).
Lively and colorful musical that is as corny as it is entertaining.
Fred Astaire is a dancer who has just lost his partner. He claims he can make anyone a great dancer so he picks Judy Garland.
The songs by Irving Berlin stand out as do a few of the dance numbers. The story is routine and only passably interesting.
