Review of East of Eden (1955) by Justin M — 29 Feb 2008
It's nothing like the book, which is probably a good thing since the book is 700 pages. The story is okay, with some very obvious Biblical undertones. But the real reason to watch this is James Dean's performance.
He seems to be operating on another plane of existence, apart from all the other actors, and if you see the movie you know exactly what I'm talking about.
