Review of East of Eden (1955) by Amy J — 04 Aug 2009

This is the first film I've ever seen with James Dean. I gave it 4 stars just for his performance alone! What a talented and handsome young actor and performer, who's life was taken by such a tragic end.

I couldn't help but think, while watching this film, what his life would've been like had he not been in his car accident. Would he have had children? Made more films? Created an entertainment empire? One can only imagine.

What he did accomplish in such a short amount of time were timeless films like, The East of Eden! Although not the most entertaining story, I was mesmerized by James dean's performance...he has this face that you just can't look away from.

I cannot wait to see his other films!! :).
