Classic. Haters suck it, James Dean brings it.
To start the serious review, it's a terrible underestimation that James Dean was just a pretty face. His performance as the awkward, vulnerable Cal is one for the books. In the scenes when he was vindictive, he acted like so without being too stereotypically evil.
Add a supporting cast and a compelling narrative and you've got yourself a great film.
