Review of East of Eden (1955) by Jakob B — 10 Oct 2010
A good movie, and good performance by James Dean indeed, but as this is one of my favorite novels of all time I couldn't forgive Kazan's adaptation for cutting out one of the most important characters of the book (that would be Lee, the Trask's Asian servant).
I also did not care for the ending, but I'll not divulge why so I don't ruin anything for anyone.
