Review of East of Eden (1955) by Steph S — 22 Nov 2012
Finally got round to seeing it. If you can get over the horrible acting sequence at the beginning of the movie you will be rewarded. James Dean stands out with his down to earth realism not only with his acting skills compared to the rest of the cast but also with his character.
Small minded curtain twitching bible bashing is still the bane of this country so this movie is unfortunately still relevant. Great stuff. I can imagine the uproar in the 50's!
