Review of Earthquake (1974) by Andrew P — 05 Sep 2011
It's rather easy for people to trash the disaster films of the 1970s, but I love them. Earthquake isn't as great as the original Poseidon Adventure and also not as awesome as the Towering Inferno.
However, it's definitely a dumb yet fun matinee flick. Simply because the special effects while they are cheesy to watch now, they were indeed groundbreaking at the time and a lot of fun to watch.
This is far from being a great film, but it sure is enjoyable on a Saturday night.
