Review of Earthquake (1974) by Victor L — 27 Dec 2005
:fresh: [SIZE=1][COLOR=Olive]Although it has a very low Tomatometter, [I]"Earthquake" (1974) is a very entertaining film with lots of violence and suspense and a great Heston who this time was back in action and became the hero once again, romance is limited and it helps this film to go directly to the point. I really enjoyed it.
It is a great screenplay written by Fox and Puzo that noticed all the reactions of people during an earthquake but the final was exagerated with the flood that ended with many lives including Heston's and Gardner's. The suspense is almost criminal in this film, but the movie runs so quickly and this is what makes a good disaster film. I generally agree with Tomatometter but not this time, sorry. This film deserves to be fresh.
