Review of Earth to Echo (2014) by Johnpaul F — 05 Jul 2014
Took my 8yr old to see this movie. For me it brought back memories of the Goonies. So that night I introduced him to that movie. He really liked echo better. He liked the space aspect more then the pirates. The one thing that echo had wrong that the Goonies did right was the voice. In echo the kids do not speak the way that kids their age speak. The writers should have let the kids give their input so that the voice was culturally relevant.
In the end, it was a good story about friendship, feeling like outsiders, loosing those you care about and imagination.
