Earth to Echo, while reminiscent of older "nostalgia" films for adult viewers, has plenty of charm that younger viewers and imaginative children will enjoy, while bringing to the table a narrative that is crafted for millennials and the modern idea of childhood.
While the found-footage technique is not for everyone, it highlights the culture of today's youth - if anything like this were to happen, the cell phones would be out, filming every second.
