I don't understand all of the bad reviews. Rated PG, this is clearly for kids. The plot is reminiscent of ET, but is made for today's audience of tech savvy kids. Compared with the myriad of summer super hero blockbusters, this is far more kid-friendly.
I don't have to explain too much, the end was a bit of a let down...but was realistic. We got it as a rental, no decision on purchasing it yet--maybe just the HD video and not the whole Bluray set.
