When I first heard about this, it'll be E.T. meets Super 8 for kids. It's execution is pretty interesting. The story here is just three kids having a last night together before one of them move. It's visuals though are pretty noticeable, considering that this is a found footage movie. It's characters are a bit generic at times but have a likeness to them. Earth to Echo isn't the must see summer movie of 2014, but it's charming for a kids summer movie.
