Review of Early Summer (1951) by Andrew B — 18 Nov 2009
If any one director is the master of simple plots, it would probably have to be Yasujiro Ozu. Though this is my least favorite film in the "Noriko trilogy" it still has a steady weight to it which makes it another worthy addition to the canon of one of cinema's most acclaimed masters.
