Review of Early Man (2018) by Tor M — 19 Sep 2018
Nick Park, the guy that did all the "Wallace and Gromit"-films and "Chicken Run" are back after a ten year hiatus. This time we are taken back to the big bang. Cavemen acts out all primitive and funny lines and referances come in frequently. The football one seem to stick and is taking over the plot here. You see, our cavemen get some enemies that take they're land and the only way to get it back is to beat them in a match of soccer.
At times this film is stupid, but the risky plot mixing is working out quite well for me. It's light, fun and short and it's stop motion is fantastic as always. Cool voice lenters with people like Eddie Redmayne and Timothy Spall. A safe film that works out for most ages. Not something fantastic or something to remember for a long time, but it's OK plus on most levels.
6.5 out of 10 ducks.
