Early Man is first and foremost a sports movie. You'll see many references to "football" a.k.a. soccer and British jokes. There is some humor based on the pre-historic setting, but not as much as there should be a movie called "Early Man".
My soccer hating American bias aside, the movie has quality claymation and some funny gags.
