Review of Eagle vs Shark (2007) by Amy D — 05 Jul 2009
I enjoyed eagle vs shark. the story is interesting as are the characters. my only real beef is how it try's really hard to make sure the audience know of its "independence" and because of this,it feels as though the director has given him self an excuse to completely self indulge.
for example the strange metaphoric animations dont really help the story along, they just seem to be deliberately random. the cast do well. particular Loren horsley, who crafts a very real and believable character.
the choice of coulers again seems modern and "happening" but I suppose they do actually contribute something to the mood and style of the film. eagle vs shark is independent. yes, but this dosent make it any better or worse than a lot of the other comedies out their at the moment.
it annoys me that slightly more cultured people will watch this but ignore the likes of anchor man. its something I will never quite understand. give it a look its nothing special but it will give you a few chuckles.
