Review of Dynamite Warrior (2006) by Dave E — 30 Sep 2007
Well. let's look at it this way. One way to really tell if as a director you are successful is when people start trying to emulate a style driven by what you do. Stephen Chow should be thanked for be a completely driving force for what made this movie, this movie.
It's trite, cliche, and annoying in so many varying ways. It has the feel of a stephen chow movie, the music is of a stephen chow movie, and even the acting is derivitive of movies of stephen chow.
Bottom line though, you can't copy stephen chow. Oh, and thai fight sequences are boring and repetitive and this proves my theory. How many ways can you hit someone with your freaking knee. GEEZ!!!
