Review of Dylan Dog: Dead of Night (2011) by John D — 08 Apr 2012
"Dylan Dog: Dead of Night" really really feels like a cheap made for TV movie or a pilot episode for new fantasy/horror TV show. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but combined with the terrible acting, nonsensical story and poor writing (the world we are being sold is not believable at all, the whole film revolves around the notion that many of the creatures and monsters are misunderstood rather than bad, but the film chooses to focus on too many other sub plots and pointless scenes rather than really go with it's premise) makes Dylan Dog a very bad adaptation of the comic book.
It's not even "so bad it's good" territory, it's just extremely mediocre and uninspired.
