Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Sue C — 04 Mar 2018
This movie for me is basically the opposite of "Call Me By Your Name" in that I had super high expectations for this and it was the most excited I had been to go to a movie in a long time. Parlaying two of my favorite things, a WWII setting and Christopher Nolan, I thought this would be my runaway favorite movie of the year but they both kind of ended up the same for me in that I was a little disappointed in this like I was with "The Revenant".
Still really good, there were just a few weird/confusing things about how the plot unfolded that didn't make sense to me, but that said, from a cinematography and production value point of view you're not going to top a movie like this.
