Although the non-linear timeline can make the movie a little hard to follow at times, Christopher Nolan's epic war drama 'Dunkirk' is a technical marvel to behold, filled with some amazing sequences and beautiful cinematography. The movie makes the decision not to have any 'characters' as such however, which can sometimes have the adverse effect of making the events on screen a little emotionally distant. Not perfect, but a more than fitting account of this devastating event.
