Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Russ E — 19 Dec 2017
(Nolan's) Batman set it WW2. Whilst a decent flick in it's own right, I couldn't help feeling like this was part of Nolan's Batman franchise, especially the soundtrack and camera work. Add to that the historical inaccuracies (eg the use of French 50's destroyer to portray a WW2 RN destroyer which are glaringly different to the trained eye) in lieu of some decent CGI and I left feeling somewhat underwhelmed.
