Beautifully shot, with some of the best Spitfire footage you'll ever see. However, it's missing a sense of scale - the movie never manages to capture the enormity of 300,000 troops being evacuated, looking more like a few hundred.
Surprisingly not as good a snapshot of Dunkirk as the majestic 5 1/2 minute tracking shot in Joe Wrights 'Atonement'.
