Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Jordan J — 05 Aug 2017
WANT TO SEE REVIEW: Christopher Nolan has made great movies. The movies that I've seen from him were pretty good so I expect a lot from this movie.
MOVIE REVIEW: Dunkirk is a pretty good war movie. There are some flaws but there are a lot of good things about this movie. This movie does a really good job telling the story of this event. It tells the story from three points of view. It got a little confusing but it ended up working and connecting together in the end. One little problem that I found was that there wasn't really any characterization. You were just watching people experiencing the event. Even though there wasn't really any characterization, you could still feel the character's feelings. This was from the directing and the amazing soundtrack. The soundtrack was outstanding and really set the mood for the movie. Dunkirk also had great action sequences, they were exciting and suspenseful at times. Christopher Nolan's directing is just outstanding. He can manage all the feelings and emotions you should feel. Overall Dunkirk is a Great War movie. Christopher Nolan really did a great job with this one. A.
