Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Antony B — 13 Aug 2017
A wonderful emotional rollercoaster of a film that instils a sense of British patriotism. The film doesn't delve much into any of the characters, but I think that's the point of this film - it's not trying to tell you a story.
Instead it's trying to give you a sense of what it must have been like being involved in the conflict - chaos, anxiousness, fear, hope, resilience, bravery. With Hans Zimmer's score adding to the anxious feel of the film, Nolan adds yet another outstanding film to his collection.
