Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Benjamin C — 13 Aug 2017
Dunkirk...more like dumbkirk. What could have been an amazing story completely ruined by the worst directing decision I have ever scene. First let's cut out almost all dialogue, then let's jump between three peoples stories at random that also are on different timeframes so that you never know what's going on.
Then let's be inconsistent by sometimes showing only one boat in the same scene and sometimes showing dozens. It could have been great, the story was there, the cinematography was there, the directors brain however, was decidedly absent.
