Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Ian G — 29 Jul 2017

I've been trying to think of something I liked ab it this film, but I can't think of anything. Although there were several references to there being 400,000 men on the beach, it never looked as if there were anymore than around 1,000, all standing patiently in orderly and well spaced apart queues (really?) on a largely deserted beach.

I didn't understand the titles at the beginning (1. The Mole, 1 week ???) and the soundtrack is really annoying. There was almost no sense of there being hundreds of small boats or a huge evacuation and all the scenes with the aeroplanes I found really dull.
