Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Christopher R — 26 Jul 2017
Apart from the good acting, visuals and sound effects, the real life story behind it was really pathetic. Seriously, about 400,000 soldiers entrapped wanting to escape and be rescued waiting patiently in long lines while the occasional German jet drops a couple of gunfire and bombs not really doing much damage.
The German soldiers never came to bother the British that much. About 3 German jets and 2 bombers vs 3 British jet fighters. Moral of the story is that civilian fisherman boats come to rescue them. If this is their Remember the Alamo or Pearl Harbor, 911 or even Titanic, OMG! I kept turning to my date saying I don't get it! What entrapment? I didn't see one German soldier tickle a British and when all was said and done, their main badass jet fighter hero gives himself up easily to 4 German soldiers.
WTF!! PATHETIC!
