It's not a history lesson, like "Band of Brothers", etc. And it's not a drama like "Saving Private Ryan". If that's what you're expecting, you'll be disappointed.
If you don't have an understanding of what happened at Dunkirk, better do some reading. On the flip side, it's hard to believe a movie so understated could be such a thriller. I loved it.
