Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Anna B — 21 Jul 2017
Interstellar, except it's just that scene where they're trying to dock with the space station that's spinning out of control and all the awful dialogue has been removed.
Stumbled a little bit for me in the denouement (felt like Nolan crunched his gears slightly in the transition from dread to relief, and the whole thing with the beached boat gets confusing and a little too convenient location-wise) but 95% of this is the thing that Nolan does best: gut-wrenching, nerve-shredding tension.
