Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Howard C — 13 Jul 2017

For me the most anticipated movie of this summer. I saw the preview last night and I would rate a mild thumbs up at 3 stars. Amid all the explosions and airplane engines a lot of dialogue gets lost. Very little historical set-up so the younger audience will not understand desperation of the rescue.

Tension-packed but ultimately disappointing. I think the director was going for the "experience" but the greatness of the event got lost...
