Review of Dungeons & Dragons (2000) by Jared S — 26 Nov 2010
It's funny watching the making of Docs for this movie and seeing the director, producers, actors, and even the owners of the franchise talk about how much they love the game; so it's even more baffling on bad they screwed it all up with this atrocious movie.
It's less D&D and more of an extremely generic fantasy film with a few nods to it's source material that are few and far between. The acting is hammy at it's best and teeth-gritting cringe inducing at it's worst; course it's less the actors fault and more of the insanely bad script they're working from.
It gets half a star for featuring some nice costumes in places and a few moments of inventive design work, it gets the other half star for featuring two minutes of Tom Baker.
