Review of Dungeons & Dragons (2000) by Gabe Z — 28 Aug 2012
One of the best bad movies ever. This is a movie that's so bad, you can't help but enjoy it. It's like a guide telling how not to make a fantasy film.
The acting, special effects, costumes, sets, music, fight scenes and dialogue are all terrible. But that's what so funny about it.
Oh, there's many Star Wars rip offs in this movie, it'll make your head spin.
Jeremy Irons overacts like crazy, Bruce Payne is one of the worst actors I've ever seen, Richard O'Brien doesn't even try, Thora Birch doesn't even care and the only actor who puts on a good performance is Tom Baker.
Marlon Waynes' character is annoying but you'll be pleased when SPOILER: he gets killed.
The dialogue; "I got another name for "dumb", "Ridley", this is the "Ridlest" idea I've ever heard." Just wow!
The finale consists of poor sound mixing, bad CGI dragons and awful bluescreen.
If you're into bad movies that don't even try, then get your mates, get beer, get pizzas and just enjoy yourselves.
