Review of Dumplings (2004) by Jonathan B — 04 Jun 2010
A couple of friends and me watched several supposedly shocking Asian films in a row. Of those that we watched that night, this was the only one that actually disturbed me (although it wasn't nearly as disturbing to many of my friends).
There is a coat-hanger abortion scene which made me feel ill. However, the themes were very interesting, and I found it, overall to be a very effective (if not enjoyable) film.
