Review of Dumbo (1941) by Doctor P — 19 Apr 2011
Number 4.
The animation here while still nice, is sadly a downgrade from the previous films; though that might be because of a smaller budget. The characters in here are once again fun to watch, the story is great. While the story may be short and simple it certainly does greatly in it's short run time of 63 minutes. The music is fine, it doesn't reach the heights of previous Disney films but it doesn't disappoint.
Of course one thing parents might keep their children from watching will probably be the "Pink Elephants on Parade" sequence which is probably the best sequence in the film.
While it may not be the best when it comes to the animation and music, it still provides a great story that surpasses the first of Disney's films.
