Review of Dumb and Dumber To (2014) by Mikey S — 02 Feb 2015

DUMB AND DUMBER TO review by: Mike Smith.

20 years after the dimwits set out on their first adventure, they head out in search of one of their long lost children in the hope of gaining a new kidney.

I'm a fan of the first film and when I heard about how they were making a sequel 20years later I was agents it. As time went on and I saw the movie trailers, I started having a change of mind. After sitting thorough this agonizing hour and 50 minutes I realized I should go with my gut feeling about movies.

I though it was awesome that Jim Carrey was on a good comeback after 'KICK ASS 2" but after this movie I think he should read the script first. I felt this time around Jeff Daniels character "Harry Dunne" was a lot smarter then the first movie. I'm a fan of Rob Riggle but I wish he wasn't in this movie.

The writing was lazy, it felt like they were trying to go for Harold and Kumar fast paced adventure but Dumb And Dumber To was just unbearably stupid. I think I only laughed once, mostly because all the good parts were given away in the trailers which played ever 2 minutes.

With a mediocre story and making characters as stupid as can be, I feel like Hollywood is getting lazy with lackluster reboots and remakes; which makes me love and want to seek out more independent and B movies. Remember life won't suck as long as there is a good movie to watch and I watch the crappy ones so you don't have too.
