Review of Dumb and Dumber (1994) by Colby H — 05 Apr 2017
While being an utterly ridiculous film, Dumb and Dumber to this day makes me laugh out loud and is my personal favorite comedy. The jokes work because of the characters and their personalities. Many comedy films have similar over-the-top dumb jokes, but the characters don't necessarily fit the gag.
Harry and Lloyd are portrayed as clueless morons which in turn allows clueless moronic jokes to be fitting. I continue to love this movie many years after I first saw it as a child, and is worth a viewing if you are in the right mood.
