Review of Duck Soup (1933) by Lauren B — 23 Sep 2009
The Marx Bros. - laugh just thinking about them. Really. If you don't like stupid movies ala Napoleon D., then don't watch it. But you'd be missing out on a good thing. This one totally lampoons politics and war.
Fitting for today, it strikes a nerve, and when you laugh, you stop and think, "this isn't really funny, it's horrible, why am I laughing?" That's the genius of Marx.
