Groucho, Harpo,Chico, and Zeppo are caught in the midst of the fictional Freedonia's tenuous relationship with an aggressive neighboring country. The solution is, as ever, a series of one-liners, pratfalls, gags, puns, insults, slapstick, and shallow attempts to marry Margaret Dumont for her money.
Duck Soup is one of the most beloved comedies of its era, and it still holds up as a remarkably funny movie. The mirror scene alone belongs in a time capsule.
