Review of Duck Soup (1933) by Bill H — 19 Dec 2007
The mother of all comedies... or just: a classic. If you grew up on Looney Tunes cartoons, this film is sure to tickle your funny bone. It may be an olde film with dated looks and humor, but I assure you will laugh your ass off and think how visionary the Marx brothers were with this film's content.
Looney and daffy and irreverent throughout with memorable musical numbers sprinkled here and there, topped with a gigantic brain, Duck Soup is one for the ages then, now, and soon to come. A classic indeed.
