Review of Drunken Master (1978) by Spiros T — 22 Sep 2007
They don't make them like this anymore. It is a classic 70's kung-fu action movie, complete with bad dubbing, over-acting, and a hammy soundtrack. Beyond that, this movie is actually a very impressive comedy, one that has not aged at all, and shows Jackie Chan at his best.
The focus is heavily on the fighting here, which you don't see much anymore - and yet it still manages to have an intricate storyline and excellent characterisation. This is a classic.
