Review of Drunken Angel (1948) by Yang H — 10 Jul 2008
Poetic film making at it's best. Kurosawa brings us to a world where contamination runs deep into the heart of man. A place where might is right and anyone who tries to stand up for what's right is either mad, or going mad from alcohol.
Strong themes and beautiful imagery comes together once again to create a great sense of compassion for not only the good but the wicked as well.
