Review of Drunken Angel (1948) by Az D — 05 Jan 2008
An excellent morality tale of a sickly yakuza gangster played by an awfully young Toshiro Mifune and his volatile relationship with his alcoholic doctor who has his own demons to deal with during post WWII era.
Slow paced and repetitive at times, it is a movie that demands full attention from it's audience to be able to enjoy this great character study piece.
