Review of Drunken Angel (1948) by Private U — 05 Nov 2008
A really young Toshiro Mifune (who has shades of Bogart in this film) pretty much steals this movie. Takashi Shimura is dependable as always. Unfortunately my copy of the movie was translated from Japanese to Chinese to English, so the dialogue was hard to follow, but oh well.
