Review of Drugstore Cowboy (1989) by Kunst J — 12 Oct 2011
I have no qualms about giving this the top rating. Dillon and Lynch were riveting in this perfectly paced character piece/road movie about "dope fiends" scouring the country side in search of drugs in the early seventies.
This dramedy doesn't skip a beat as it shows the horrendous and humours side of addicts and it finishes on an effective note, staying true to the skewed morality of Dillon's anti-hero. There's also a cameo appearance by William S Burroughs which adds a nice touch.
