Review of Drowning Mona (2000) by C.j. A — 22 Jun 2007
A ridiculous romp about a woman who, despite our moral qualms about it, obviously deserved to die. A dark offbeat sense of humor runs rampant throughout, with subtle jokes - particularly about Yugos - thrown in everywhere.
These are all - mostly - good people who committed an dark but understandable crime. Witty and well-acted, it's not overdone; ludicrous yet almost believable. Everyone knows a Mona. And hey, as long as there's a happy ending, everything's jake, right?
