Review of Drop Out Wife (1972) by Ed B — 10 Oct 2017
The core of the story: young wife and husband journey from passionate sexual love affair, marry, and become emotionally and sexually distant and frigid to one another under the scruples of having children, work, and life.
To 'spice' things up, they experiment with a 'swingers group', the wife finds the experience invigorating, abandons her husband and family, moves in with a girlfriend and explores the avenues and tragedy of the 'swinging' lifestyle.
Not Ed Wood's best work as a screenwriter as much of the movie is graphic sexual scenes, but at times the lines reveal the depth of the struggle of the emotion of the main characters. This movie is, unquestionably, "FOR ADULTS ONLY!".
