Review of Driving Miss Daisy (2015) by Emma G — 20 Mar 2011
Winner Best Picture 1989, this is one of those films that doesn't need fancy direction or story to impress, just great performances that are able to elevate a simply story about an unlikely relationship that stands the test of time. This is Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman's movie and the longer we spend with them, the more we grow to like the two and the two together. Race relations aside, this is really a film about having someone in your life and trusting them to be there no matter what.
Grade: A-.
