I think this is one of the weaker best picture winners, it wasn't a robbery like Shakespere in Love, English Patient, or Kramer vs Kramer, its just a weak movie for best picture, probably because 89 was a week year for films.
It definentlu deserved best actress and was a feel good movie just a simple plot and got boring at times. Still an OK movie though.
