Review of Driving Lessons (2006) by Janna M — 09 Jan 2008
I really love this movie! I'm a sucker for quirky coming-of-age movies. Plus Rupert Grint is so great in this! I've always felt that his talent has been underused in the Harry Potter films so it's great to see him in a starring role.
He and Julie Walters work really well together. The story is both hilarious and near-tragically beautiful and very relateable. I appreciate that while they expose some of the hypocrisy in Christianity they do not demonize it.
Sufjan Stevens for the soundtrack was a good call. All of the music is beautiful and fits well into the overall feel of the film. 4 sTarZ !!!11121.
